Minimum driving age: 21 years (25 years for four-wheel drives).
Applicable surcharges: Surcharge for unlimited kilometres (for specific territories and vehicles), road tolls for Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria (where passes must be pre -purchased from Budget Rent a Car office to avoid fines), one-way rental surcharge and optional services.
Note: Driving is on the left-hand side of the road.
Restrictions: Certain cars have a minimum rental period. Collection from Ayers Rock and dropping off at Alice Springs is not permitted. Cross- border restrictions into Tasmania apply. Use of vehicles outside city limits of Northern Territory, Western Australia and Outback Queensland is restricted. Regulations are subject to change and are presented for guidance only.
