Los Angeles is a sprawling metropolis that spreads across 1,000 square miles between the Pacific Ocean and the snow-peaked San Gabriel Mountains.
Interwoven by high-speed freeways, it can be a bewildering city for the first-time visitor, but our half-day excursion provides an excellent introduction.
We pick you up from your hotel and head downtown to Olvera Street, where we visit the Art Deco City Hall, the mission-style Union Station, the Music Center and vibrant Chinatown with its plethora of small shops, restaurants and art galleries.
Hollywood is your next port of call where you can see the stars of your favourite celebrities on Hollywood Boulevard’s Walk of Fame and compare your hand and footprints with those of Marilyn Monroe, John Wayne, Clint Eastwood and many more embedded in the concourse of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.
A drive along Sunset Boulevard brings you to the palatial estates of Beverly Hills, before we continue along the elegant Rodeo Drive with its immaculate shops and boutiques, to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, brought to world-wide fame by being the location for the filming of ‘Pretty Woman’.
This coach excursion includes pick and drop-off to the hotel. Lunch is not included.
